Melissa is a recent high school graduate who aspires to become a Pre-K teacher! She has some of the most creative lessons that I have (ever!) seen a student intern teach. See her thoughts on education below.
Q: Why do you want to become a teacher?
A: Because I like working with children and I want to make a positive impact on future generations.
Q: What would you change about our country public school system?
A: I would remove standardized testing and give teachers more freedom in deciding what they believe is important/meaningful to be taught.
Q: What is one thing that you wish teachers today knew?
A: That a simple comment can impact a student in a positive or negative way.
Q: When I'm a teacher I will...
A: Create a welcoming environment for my students by forming relationships with them.
